Reminder: RAHB Rule & Regulation

Just a reminder of RAHB Rule & Regulation, Section 2 – MLS® Listings, Sub-section 2.18 which states:

The listing member shall immediately, and with reasonable notice notify any party who requests a viewing or has received a confirmation for a viewing if the listing status changes including but not limited to “active-cs” (conditional sale), “active-ns” (conditional sale no showings), “sold”, “suspended” or “cancelled”, or if a registered offer is received.

If you have any further questions, please e-mail [email protected].

GeoWarehouse® Sign in Issue

Some members have experienced an issue with GeoWarehouse® recently where the Matrix Single Sign-On (SSO) link redirects them to a sign-on screen instead of taking them directly into the site. This was caused by recent updates performed on the site by Teranet. If you encounter this, you will need to clear your browser cache. This will correct the problem.

Instructions for clearing your browser cache can be found here: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Please contact RAHB MLS® Support if you require any assistance. They can be reached at 905.667.4650 or [email protected].

Issues Within Matrix Stemming from OC/ORTIS Cutover to New MLS®

Update – August 18

We are glad to say that most major issues stemming from the OC/ORTIS cutover in Matrix have been resolved. It has been reported that some listings are still not showing room data.

If you encounter any other issues, please report them to the MLS® Help Desk at [email protected] or 905.667.4650

We have been made aware of several issues that are affecting RAHB Members within the Matrix System, as a result of the OC/ORTIS cutover to their new MLS® System (ITSORealEstate).

We are working alongside Corelogic to fix any issues and investigate others. Below is a list of issues we are aware of at this time:

Listing Photos

Some members are reporting that there are listings that do not contain photos, or are not appearing within a listing. RAHB is reporting these on a case-by-case basis. If you come across this problem please e-mail all information to [email protected]

Client Portal

With the cutover to the ITSORealEstate system, an “X” prefix was added to the beginning of ORTIS listing numbers. This “X” has now been removed from ORTIS and OC listings.

Cart

If you had ORTIS listings within your cart prior to August 6, you will need to re-add those listings.

If you have added ORTIS listings to your cart since August 6, this issue will not affect you.

Client Portal – Favourite/Possibilities List

If any of your clients saved any ORTIS listings within their Favourite or Possibilities List prior to August 6, they will need to be re-added.

If your clients added listings to their Favourite or Possibilities Lists since August 6, this issue will not affect them.

Property Type/Sub-Type

Corelogic is aware of an issue that is affecting the Property Type and Sub-Type fields. Corelogic is working alongside RAHB to fix this issue. It will take some remapping of the system in order to align these fields across all the boards/associations involved. We do not know when this issue will be fixed, but RAHB will be sure to communicate updates as they occur.

Marketwatch

The “Marketwatch” issue has now been resolved and all listings should be showing.

Other Issues?

If you experience any other issues with the system, please contact the RAHB MLS® Help Desk at MLS® Help Desk at 905.667.4650 or [email protected].

Corelogic is working with us to remedy any issues related to the ITSORealEstate cutover. We are appreciative for their support, and we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

ITSO System

On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, CoreLogic will be switching both ORTIS and the Ontario Collective to their new MLS® – ITSO System. The only changes for RAHB members are:

  • The “IntraMatrix” tab will be removed, as it will no longer be necessary to search under it, as all the listing data will appear in RAHB’s Matrix
  • You will now have access to more listing data from all 23 boards/associations

Alleged Sexual Assault of REALTOR® in Hamilton

Incident took place in Strathcona area.

We have received disturbing information from the Mississauga Real Estate Board, regarding one of their members and a property owner in Hamilton.

The MREB member alleges that she was recently sexually assaulted at a property within the Strathcona area of Hamilton by a potential client who was referred to her by a reliable source.

The individual who allegedly sexually assaulted the MREB member said he had three properties to list. When meeting with the individual at one of the properties, the MREB member was allegedly lured upstairs where she was assaulted.

A complaint has been filed with Hamilton police and the suspect, who is from Burlington, is currently under arrest. A bail hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow (July 2).

The MREB member believes that she was not his first victim, and believes that this individual has assaulted others in the past.

If any RAHB members have had a similar experience of assault anywhere, please report it to the proper authorities, as well as RAHB so we can notify members.

Also, if you have had a questionable experience with a client but it did not lead to assault within the Strathcona area, we are asking that you also report this to the Hamilton Police Service so they have it on file for the above case involving the MREB member.

As showings continue to ramp up as the province moves throughout Stage 2 of the reopening, we would like to remind members to stay safe, as well as healthy, when meeting with clients/potential clients.

Thank you and have a safe and happy Canada Day.

The Hamilton Police Service has a unit specifically mandated and specifically trained to investigate sexual assaults. If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, report it by contacting 905.546.4925.

Sexual Assaults that take place in Burlington can be reported to the Halton Regional Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault unit, through Detective Sergeant John Mans at 905.825.4747, x8970, or via e-mail a[email protected].

For an incident that takes place within Haldimand County, please contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1.888.310.1122.

For incidences that take place within the Niagara Region, please contact the Niagara Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit at 905.688.4111.
