RAHB member Don Robertson (Com/Choice Winning Plans Realty) was recently named the RBC Citizen of the Year in Dundas.

Don is well-known for his involvement in the Dundas community.  He was instrumental in bringing the Allan Cup to Dundas last year; it was icing on the cake that his team, the Real McCoys, won the tournament.  He was the driving force behind Dundas being named Hockeyville in 2010.  Don and his Real McCoys are well-known for their charity work during the hockey season.  Don has also been a strong supporter of the United Way.

Don originally balked at the suggestion that he be nominated for the award, as he says, “I do what I do because I think it’s right.”  Luckily, former Dundas Citizen of the Year and RAHB member Darlyne Mills persevered and persuaded Don to let his name stand, and he was acclaimed for the honour.
