GeoWarehouse Updates Terms of Use: Changes to Square Footage Displayed on Public Websites

Dear RAHB members, This week RAHB was notified by GeoWarehouse that as of Friday, July 19, 2019 they will be enforcing their Updated Terms of Use and Conditions, whereby the square footage value obtained through “public records” (such as MPAC) will be displayed as a range on public websites (REALTOR.ca, client portals and CREA’s DDF destinations), as opposed to an exact size. Exact square footage amounts will continue to be displayed within RAHB’s MLS® System for members to view. This change only affects what is displayed on public websites. It will not affect how you or your staff input data into our MLS® System. RAHB staff have worked to ensure the range displays as per GeoWarehouse’s Updated Terms of Use and Conditions. As of Friday, July 19, 2019, when an exact square footage amount is entered and “public records” is selected, the square footage will automatically be displayed publicly as a range. When a RAHB member has selected any other source (builder plans, floor plans, LBO provided, other) it will continue to be uploaded to REALTOR.ca, client portals and other DDF destinations as an exact size, and will remain in RETS data feeds. Please note: As of Friday, July 19, 2019, all GeoWarehouse users will be required to accept the Updated Terms of Use and Conditions to gain access to GeoWarehouse. We take this opportunity to remind RAHB members that you have a responsibility to ensure all information inputted within the MLS® System is accurate and that you have the legal authority to input that information.
