The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has announced that the NGTA Transportation Development Strategy Report has been finalized. The Strategy summarizes all of the work that has been undertaken since the study was initiated in 2007, as well as the planning process that has been followed throughout Phase 1 of the study. The final Strategy includes a summary of the additional analysis of the highway expansion recommendations documented in the draft Strategy (March 2011), and the final recommendations. The completion of the Transportation Development Strategy Report represents the conclusion of Phase 1 of the EA study. The recommendations embodied in the final Strategy will be further pursued through Phase 2 of the NGTA study or as separate future studies and initiatives.
