REALTOR.ca has new features and tools to improve the user experience of REALTOR.ca.

  • REALTOR.ca now auto-sizes to fit HD monitors, making the most use of the user’s display.
  • Users can now collapse or expand the criteria and thumbnail side panels to see a larger or smaller image of the map.
  • A new polygon tool allows users to draw free form shapes on the map, enabling them to better focus their searches.
  • Visitors to the site can immediately connect with and join REALTORS® and offices’ social networks by clicking on direct links to social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Since the release of the new features and tools in November, the features have been used over 450,000 times.

  • A change of policy now permits search indexing of properties appearing on REALTOR.ca so that listings have the same opportunity to show on search engine results pages (SERPS) alongside listings indexed from other real estate marketing sites.  This will ensure that REALTOR.ca continues to attract a high volume of visits and maintain its position as one of the most popular real estate websites in Canada.
  • REALTOR.ca saw an increase of 32 per cent in the number of unique visitors to the website in the fourth quarter of 2011 compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year.
  • WEBFormsâ„¢ also saw an increase in unique users of about 20 per cent for the same time period.
  • The REALTOR.ca mobile app sees high download volume, with iPone accounting for most of the downloads.  At the end of 2011, CREA logged over 10 million sessions for the REALTOR.ca mobile apps.
