REALTORS® Care! REALTORS® Ride for Charity

This year’s REALTORS Care® Foundation Motorcycle Ride for Charity will take place on July 8 , 2015, with the kick off taking place at the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) in Don Mills. This year’s goal is to raise $25, 000 for shelter related causes in Ontario.

The ride route and other details for the event are just being finalized; stay tuned for more information. You can also check out the REALTORS Care® Foundation website for information about signing up to ride or sponsoring a rider.

REALTORS® Care!

RAHB member Kathy Chiu’s (Right at Home Realty Inc.) “An Evening of Song” fundraiser for Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation raised over $18,000 for the Foundation. The event was held October 17 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.  Further donations can still be made to the Foundation; please mention the contribution is towards the efforts of “An Evening of Song”.

RAHB NEWS – RAHB Charity Auction – the results are in!

RAHB President Tim Mattioli and members of the Charity Auction Task Force presented a cheque for $48,557.79, representing the proceeds from the RAHB Charity Auction, to The Children’s Fund Vice-President Olivia DePetris.

The Charity Auction was held on Thursday November 20. RAHB members, sponsors and guests enjoyed a night of live and silent auctions and a variety of entertainment and activities to benefit the Children’s Fund, the charity founded by 900 CHML/Y108/953 FRESH FM.

Blood Donors – RAHB Partners for Life

This year the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington has made 16 donations towards the goal of 20 units of blood for 2014.  Thank you to those who have been able to contribute to this life saving goal.  We are still hoping to achieve our pledge for this year. If you haven’t registered as a member of the RAHB Partners for Life program you can do so here.  Once you have registered as a member, any blood donation that you have made during the year will count towards our goal.  Don’t forget to ask your family and friends to sign up as well.

It is not too late to donate this year. Your donation can help to save someone’s life during the holidays.

REALTORS® come out to support RAHB auction

RAHB’s 26th annual Charity Auction offered an evening of food, entertainment and friendly bidding wars to raise money for the CHML/Y108/953 FRESH Children’s Fund.  RAHB members and supporters came out to have a good time, and took home a wide range of goods and services purchased in the live and silent auctions.

The event also featured chocolate tasting by Forrat’s Chocolates, wine tasting by Diamond Estates – The Winery and lots of opportunities to win prizes and draws.

RAHB’s annual auction has raised over $789,600 for the charity, making RAHB its single largest contributor.  The Children’s Fund offers assistance to over 30 different charities each year.

REALTORS® Care

This spring, the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation asked REALTORS®, brokerages, franchisors, real estate boards and associations and their affiliated charitable organizations how much they raised and/or donated to charity in 2013. The Foundation crunched the numbers and found that REALTORS® reported over $23.2 million in funds raised and donated in 2013Added to 2012 tally of donations, that makes a grand total of $53.8 million in only two years.
