Blood donations urgently needed

Canadian Blood Services (CBS) is now in Blood Signal mode, signifying there is a great need for blood as we head into the summer months.

Did you know that RAHB is a Canadian Blood Services Partner for Life?  You can sign up as a member of our group and have your blood donation count toward our goal of 20 units of blood donated for 2013.

It’s easy to join our group.  Just go to https://www.blood.ca/Web/PFL.nsf/Member?openform&Lang=E&SFDS=S&cURL=/Web/PFL.nsf/French?OpenPage&Category=Forms, use our Partner ID REAL012298 and your donations of blood will be credited to the RAHB total.  You can also give our Partner ID number at the clinic when you go to give blood.

It’s easier than ever to donate blood:

  • Blood clinics are held all over RAHB’s market area – look online for locations, or call 1.888.236.6283 (1.888.2DONATE)
  • Clinics are usually quiet through the daytime hours – you can get in and out quickly
  • Get a group together and call for the Life Bus to take you to a clinic near you
  • If your office wants to organize an area blood donor clinic, CBS will come out to your location

Give blood now and help save a life.

REALTORS® RIDE for Charity

The REALTORS® RIDE for Charity is coming up on July 10 and 11.  This two-day event will take avid motorcyclists on a ride from Mississauga to Sault Ste. Marie via Manitoulin Island, with stops at real estate boards and associations along the way.

All money raised through the REALTORS® RIDE for Charity supports shelter-related causes in communities throughout Ontario.  Local causes have received support from the REALTORS Care Foundation:  YWCA Hamilton, Mark Preece Family House, Wesley Urban Ministries, Housing and Support – Halton and RAHB’s own Home Ownership Affordability Partnership (HOAP).

Support one of the two RAHB members to ride – Jamie Edwards and Bruce King of J.M. Edwards Associates Inc. – or register to ride yourself!  Go to www.realtorscareontario.ca/page/2013_ride_home for more information.
