A little rain at the start of the day did not dampen the enthusiasm of golfers in the 17th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 27, 2013 at Copetown Woods Golf Club.
The final tally isn’t in yet, but all indications are that the big winners of the day were the Home Ownership Affordability Partnership (HOAP) and the Karan Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund.
“It was an excellent day,” said task force chairman Bob Schinkel. “It was great to see some new members joining many of our seasoned golfers and business associates to support these worthy causes.”

The closest to the rope contest was won by Tara French and Matt Skidmore.
Pauline Lewis and Joe Richer showed their golfing abilities by hitting closest to the hole, while Tara French and Kevin Mageran demonstrated they had the longest drives.
Darren Deroches won the opportunity to shoot for $1 million on August 22 at the Brampton Real Estate Board’s golf tournament.
Gary Herron was the lucky winner of the 50/50 draw.
