RAHB Update for May 25 re: Reopening Ontario

Phase One of Opening Ontario’s Economy

What does this mean for REALTORS®?

We hope you and your family are staying healthy.

The Province has entered Phase One of the Framework for Reopening Ontario.

While we are entering phase one of the reopening, in-person open houses are still prohibited under the Provincial Government’s State of Emergency orders. REALTORS® should continue to use virtual open houses until the prohibition is lifted.

The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) has put together a guide of information for this phase of the reopening – Guidance on Real Estate Transactions in Phase One of Ontario’s Framework for Reopening the Province.

This guide was developed using information from public health, best practices from the real estate industry, and guidelines by provincial/state REALTOR® associations from across North America.

This document outlines how REALTORS® should be using:

  • Digital tools whenever possible
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) for you and your clients
  • In-person showings, when necessary

The document also contains information on how to follow public health guidelines to keep you and your clients healthy and safe.

Please contact OREA at info@OREA.com if you have any questions about the document.
