Ever wondered how RAHB Matrix determines which rooms are principal rooms and how they are counted in the Room Totals? Below is the formula explained:
The following Rooms that are above grade are counted, excluding NON-principal rooms (see below). This will determine the Total Rooms value.
- LLP (portion above/below grade)
- M (main)
- 2 (second floor)
- 3 (third floor), etc.
The following Rooms on the lower level will not be added to the Total count. They do not require size, regardless of room code.
- B (basement)
- LL (second basement/lower level)
The following Non-principal Rooms will not be added to the Total count. They do not require size, regardless level.
- Attic
- Bathroom
- Coldroom
- Ensuite
- Foyer
- Laundry room
- Loft
- Mud room
- Pantry
- Sauna
- Storage room
- Sunroom
- Utility room
- Wine cellar
- Workshop
- Other
In the fusion, we could select several properties and click on the details and they would be numbered and we could easily go forward and backwards on any property that was selected. (Checked off) . I have selected several properties on Matrix but can not navigate the same way as in Fusion. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Steve, once you have selected the properties, click “Refine” at the bottom left corner and then click the “Narrow” button. You can then go back and forth and only view the listings you selected. 🙂
Thanks for the clarification – I’ m old school & that’s how I was taught to count rooms.
